I consider it a great privilege, as well as a sacred duty, to acknowledge through the periodicals the benefits I have received through the study and practice of the truth as revealed in Christian Science. I have been a recipient of these benefits for many years, and words are inadequate to express the gratitude I feel.
Christian Science was introduced to our family when we sorely needed it. My mother was almost helpless, and we were about to give up our home because of her mental and physical condition, when a friend lent her a copy of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. She read this wonderful book nearly all night for several nights, and was healed almost immediately. At once she began to put into practice the truth that had liberated her, and continued this practice for many years, during which time she was able to bring healing and joy to many others.
