As a very young child I was taught a prayer which included the words:
"If I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take."
This frightened me and contributed largely to a terrifying fear of death. This fear continued until, through the revelation of Christian Science, God was revealed as Life, without beginning or end, and man as the reflection of His eternal being. For this healing I am profoundly grateful to God.
