"Remember that mankind must sooner or later, either by suffering or by Science, be convinced of the error that is to be overcome." So states Mary Baker Eddy on page 240 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." My experience has proved this to be true.
Many years ago I obtained a position which involved great financial responsibility. During the years of my employment there were obstacles to overcome which at times seemed to overwhelm me. Personal influence, office politics, and disapproval of a woman in a position of responsibility had to be overcome. Pride, arrogance, intolerance, and envy were encountered. Much prayerful and consecrated work in Christian Science was done, both by myself and by practitioners, to dispel in my consciousness the belief in their reality and to realize the dominion, presence, and power of the one Mind, who is man's only employer.
It was realized that in the perfect creation of infinite Spirit the only business there is, is God's business of harmoniously governing His universe of ideas. I knew that my employment was in being about the Father's business, and that it was an opportunity to manifest His qualities of intelligence, integrity, alertness, patience, judgment, joy, and love. Claiming my divine right as a child of God to harmonious, fruitful activity, I proved my dominion over many difficult situations. The perfect man of God's creating began to appear through the mist of materialism, and gradually the pathway cleared. While these problems were being worked out, many physical healings took place, and an increasingly harmonious home environment was made manifest.
