"'Now,' cried the apostle, 'is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation,'—meaning, not that now men must prepare for a future-world salvation, or safety, but that now is the time in which to experience that salvation in spirit and in life." In the past twenty-seven years I have been able to prove these words from page 39 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and we have had many healings for which we are very grateful.
The owner of the apartment house in which we were living twenty-seven years ago was an earnest student of Christian Science. She let her light so shine that I was enabled to see "the true Light," which St. John says "lighteth every man that cometh into the world" (John 1:9). Having seen her son healed of a serious burn, I wanted to know something of this healing power. I attended church with her, and what impressed me most was the sight of so many happy faces.
It was at this time that our young son developed asthma. After many months of earnest study on my part and with the help of a practitioner, our son was healed, and the condition never returned.
