Poems

Unfoldment

From the February 1949 issue of The Christian Science Journal

When grief gets in the eye, the vision shrinks.
The universe contracts to one who thinks
Only of sorrow.
Break the web of tears,
Seek out a brother's woe and heal his fears;
Then surely as night opens into dawn
The universe expands, the grief is gone.
