That Christian Science heals instantaneously, completely, and permanently I am grateful to bear testimony. About twenty six years ago the statement, "Man's extremity is God's opportunity," was proved in my experience.
From childhood there always seemed to be something wrong with me, and I was never able to attend school regularly. One of my desires as a child was to be a missionary, and I loved going to Sunday School; but as I grew older, my questions in Sunday School could not be answered. I soon realized that I did not want to be a missionary if I could not prove the statements made by Jesus, especially those about healing the sick. I became very much discouraged and felt that this whole existence was hopeless.
I had always had a great desire to be happy, free, and friendly. Mrs. Eddy tells us in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 1), "Desire is prayer," and I was soon to find that my prayers were to be answered.
