Since 1936 it has been my privilege to receive many blessings from the study and practice of Christian Science.
Through these years my physical healings have been many and include the overcoming of headaches, influenza, colds, sprained knee, skin irritation, dislocated jaw, and an impacted wisdom tooth. I have had numerous instances of guidance and protection, such as the harmonious unfoldment of home, guidance during the recent war years when separated from loved ones, freedom from grief when three members of my family passed on within five months, and a splendid position of service during the war. For such changes in character as losing much irritableness, emotionalism, self-pity, and quick temper, I am extremely grateful.
For a recent healing in our home I am especially grateful. After thirteen years of marriage, my husband and I were overjoyed at the arrival of our first child, a baby daughter. When three weeks of age, she developed a serious convulsive cough. Aggressive suggestion tried to convince us that we were not going to be able to keep this little one. Relatives who were not Christian Scientists felt certain we would lose our baby if we did not get her to the best baby specialist in the country.
