Testimonies of Healing

I am increasingly grateful for the many...

From the October 1950 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I am increasingly grateful for the many activities of the Christian Science movement provided by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, because they are all evidencing divine Love's care for humanity. For over thirty years I have relied solely on Christian Science, and it has never failed me. It was of great assistance in rearing our son, and the understanding and application of its truths brought him safely through World War II.

I am grateful to God for the many healings my family and I have experienced, some of which came about through my own understanding and application of the truth and some through the help of practitioners. A few of the outstanding healings that I remember are of catarrh, appendicitis, subjection to colds, headaches, effects of falls, and stoppage of the ears. The spiritual understanding of the verse from the Bible (I Sam. 3:9), "Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth," has brought continuing unfoldment of good and was helpful to me in working out the ear difficulty.

I am grateful for the Christian Science organization, The Mother Church and the branch churches, also for the Bible, for the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health, and for Mrs. Eddy's other writings, as well as for all the periodicals with their helpful and encouraging editorials and articles. Another of our Leader's provisions for which I am particularly grateful is class instruction, as well as our annual association meetings.—
