Mary Baker Eddy has written in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 13), "Love is impartial and universal in its adaptation and bestowals." I have had the privilege of proving this assuring statement many times in my life through the application and study of the practical religion of Christian Science.
I have always felt much gratitude to my parents for bringing me up as a Christian Scientist. Attendance at a Christian Science Sunday School prepared me to face problems by complete reliance on God. During my experience at a university I was blessed with the privilege of taking part in the establishment of a Christian Science Organization. This experience brought about a better appreciation of Church and what it represents.
The joyous privilege of class instruction has been a sustaining influence. It has given me a clearer understanding of God and is enabling me to utilize more fully the truth taught in Christian Science. At this time I was employed at night, and during the period of my class instruction I had expected to be allowed part time off from my work. Instead, we began working twelve hours a night. The first two days at class I had difficulty keeping awake, but this was completely healed through the work of a Christian Science practitioner. After the fourth day a stoppage of work reduced my work schedule so that class instruction was completed absolutely free from any seeming handicaps. I have always been grateful for this experience.
