Mrs. Eddy writes in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 322), "The sharp experiences of belief in the supposititious life of matter, as well as our disappointments and ceaseless woes, turn us like tired children to the arms of divine Love."
I had undergone medical treatment and an operation, and circulatory disturbances often kept me confined to my bed for months at a time. During these periods innumerable injections were made, and I was given a great deal of medicine, including some of the most recent types.
One day I suffered a particularly severe circulatory disturbance. I did not know what to do, because shortly before this time the doctor had told me that nothing could be done for this type of sickness. Then a dear friend advised me to turn to Christian Science, and she gave me the telephone number of a practitioner. I called her up at once and told her of my condition. A kind voice answered me, "God will help you, and you will be healed."
