I am so grateful to God for the good that Christian Science has brought into my life that I wish to testify and encourage others.
Christian Science was first presented to me when I was a junior in high school and in great need of help. I had been suffering from heart trouble and nervousness, resulting in an unpleasant skin condition of which I was very conscious. Gymnasium activities were ruled out for me because of the heart condition, and I suffered from terrible depression and loneliness. A friend who had been healed in Science of these very difficulties gave be a copy of The Christian Science Monitor and of the Christian Science Sentinel. That was my introduction to Christian Science. The following day, after a sleepless night in which I determined that I would investigate Science regardless of the opposition I might meet at home or through the church to which I belonged, I borrowed a copy of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I literally wept for joy when I began to read the healing message. Immediately I felt I had found the truth.
The heart trouble yielded as I read. Two years after I began the study of Science, I entered college, and it was necessary for me to have a thorough physical examination. I was pronounced physically fit and enjoyed the two years of gymnasium work required of undergraduates.
