"To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings" (Preface to Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. vii). The truth of these words has been proved by my family and myself for over thirty years.
The longing to be free from physical suffering was the incentive which caused me to turn to Christian Science. I had treatment from a practitioner and began the earnest study of Science and Health. The immediate results were marvelous; I was healed!
My husband and I were members of an orthodox church, but when we found no inspiration or satisfaction in the services, we became regular attendants of The Mother Church. There was no wavering, no turning back to medicine, no attraction in any other teaching or church; we had found the truth which Jesus knew. Paul writes (I Cor. 3:11), "Other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."
