For many years I have read the testimonies of healing in the Christian Science periodicals. I am very grateful for the inspiration I have received from them, and it is now my desire to express gratitude to God through the periodicals also.
Our eldest son began to manifest symptoms of eczema on his face when he was about three months old. We were not students of Christian Science at the time and faithfully followed the advice of medical specialists; but the child was not healed. Just before his fourth birthday we moved, and one of our new neighbors, who was a student of Christian Science, visited us at a time when the eczema seemed to be worse than usual. When she saw my son, she asked if I had ever considered having treatment from a Christian Science practitioner as a means of helping the child. She went on to explain some of the truths of this Science; and I saw that what my husband and I needed was the clearer understanding of God and man which this religion gives.
I telephoned for an appointment with a practitioner and then went to see her. 1 shall never forget the love she expressed and the joy that filled my consciousness when I left her office. Our son slept soundly that night, and the next morning it was plain that a healing was taking place. In a very short time all trace of the eczema disappeared.
