It is with much gratitude that I testify to the healing and regenerating power brought into my experience through the study and application of Christian Science. Through diligent effort and radical reliance on the statements of Truth found in the writings of Mrs. Eddy, our beloved Leader, I have sensed more freedom of existence and have realized God's ever-presence in many instances. Numerous physical difficulties have been permanently overcome; these include lumbago, bronchial pneumonia, partial paralysis, and many others that were not classified.
Much joy and understanding have been realized through the study and application of Mrs. Eddy's statements found in Science and Health (p. 269), "Metaphysics is above physics, and matter does not enter into metaphysical premises or conclusions," and, "Metaphysics resolves things into thoughts, and exchanges the objects of sense for the ideas of Soul." Thus it has been learned that wherever I am there is the presence of God giving me happiness, supply, companionship, and perfect being.
When I was returning home alone by auto from an extended business trip a few years ago, I began to manifest fever; this condition seemed to grow worse, and I appeared to be losing consciousness. However, through my faith in God's ever-presence I was able to get to my home safely. A Christian Science practitioner was called, and work was begun immediately. The condition was so severe that I seemed to be passing on, but through the loving and persistent work of the practitioner and the help of my family I was wonderfully sustained. I was conscious of the truth of Mrs. Eddy's declaration (Science and Health, p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." My condition soon began to improve, and I got up and dressed and joined the family at dinner. Within a very few days I resumed my work, completely healed.
