Like many others, I have great cause for gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and also to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, for the blessings I have received through her teachings. In particular I should like to express my thanks to God for the following two experiences.
Some years ago I injured an arm, and although I was able to carry on with my work, I suffered some discomfort. I tried to know the truth and to put into practice what I had learned through Christian Science, and I am happy to say that very shortly afterward, whilst I was listening to a lecture on Science, a small bone in the arm moved back into position, and I experienced a complete healing.
When desiring to change my employment I was offered several positions, but for one reason or another none of them appeared to be the right one for me. After considering the matter from various angles I realized that instead of relying on divine Mind to guide me, as we are taught to do in Christian Science, I was taking only human steps and trying to plan my own course. At this point I asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner. It was lovingly pointed out to me that, considering the many proofs I had had of the availability of God's law and the experience gained from many years of service in my present employment, I should realize that when the time came to make a change I would know it and be led into my right place. When I studied the matter from this point of view I decided to wait until I was clearly shown the way. A position was soon offered to me from a most unexpected source which proved without doubt to be the right place, for it blessed not only me but all others concerned.
