Poems

Outside a Christian Science Church

From the August 1952 issue of The Christian Science Journal

He heard the hymn they were singing
Ring out through the winter dusk.
And he made a vow that moment
To leave the prodigal's husk.

He heard the inspiring music
As the snow came drifting down,
And he turned from a far city
To seek God's heavenly town.
