God, the divine Principle of His spiritual creation, governs His ideas in accordance with His undeviating law of harmony. The relationship between God and man is understood to be perfect because sustained by immutable law. When the Psalmist apprehended the operation of God's infallible law, he sang (Ps. 119:97), "O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day." This declaration arouses thought to the possibility of perceiving the harmony and rhythm of divine law and to the value of gaining an understanding of its omni-activity.
When one understands and shows forth the loving activity demanded by spiritual law, he finds himself a better Christian, neighbor, and homemaker, as well as a better citizen. In fact, the more of divine law he demonstrates daily, the more he will recognize that, in reality, his consciousness is at one with God's law of harmony.
Jesus taught his disciples (Matt. 19:17), "If thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments." He outlined for them in his Sermon on the Mount what the law of Love demands and admonished them to obey it in these words (Matt. 5:48): "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." One can readily recognize that when this law is obeyed, no sense of discord can be present in thought. Let us awake to perceive this law of Love in operation now. Harmony is the law of Love. Without love, harmony does not exist.
