In "Miscellaneous Writings'' Mary Baker Eddy says (p. 307), "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies." Mrs. Eddy's teachings are revealing to mankind the availability and practicality of God's spiritual ideas.
In endless variety and spontaneity spiritual ideas press upon human thought for acceptance. Anyone who so chooses may utilize these ideas, feel their impulsion to greater and wider achievement, and thus demonstrate the ever-presence of unlimited good. Spiritual ideas may come through passages from the Bible and from our Leader's writings, or from other authorized Christian Science literature, or they may come in other ways. Their compelling goodness is witnessed in wisdom, love, purity, integrity, and in countless other Godlike qualities expressed by mankind.
Because an idea has been unusually enlightening and potent in meeting an urgent need, we may seek at times to apply the same idea day after day to varying situations. We lose sight of the infinite multiplicity of spiritual ideas and the unlimited range of thought which they provide. We forget that, like the manna of old, new ideas, fresh in meaning and vigor, await us constantly. The inspiration of yesterday is not lost because we seek new ideas for today. Ideas proved to be true yesterday serve as impetus for the advancement of today. Again, these same ideas at other times may stand out with ever greater illumination and potency. Thus individuals are progressively enriched and strengthened.
