I have been an earnest student of Christian Science for many years and have experienced numerous healings through its application. This Science has been my only method of healing since I began its study.
When I was new in this study I was instantaneously healed of a severe burn while holding thought steadfastly to "the scientific statement of being" found on page 468 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Influenza, colds, measles, and mumps were among other conditions cured by Science.
One healing which was outstanding to me was of scarlet fever. Our son had been ill for a day or two before he showed me the evidence, which I recognized, having seen this disease before I knew of Christian Science. Immediately I silently denied its claim to reality. I did not name the disease to the boy, and I was not fearful, but was confident. About the third day he was extremely ill with such a fever that he was delirious. I went to him and prayed silently. A beautiful sense of Love's all-enveloping presence filled my consciousness, like the gentleness of dawn expanding into day. J shall never forget it. I was conscious of nothing but Love. The child relaxed, his color grew natural, and his eyes became clear. I was lifted to a higher sense of mother love, which knows no fear, but trusts all to God. The healing was soon complete. Two other children in our home at that time were completely shielded from the contagion, even though the boy was not isolated from them.
