I am prompted to write this testimony out of gratitude to an ever-loving God for Christ Jesus, who showed us the way of Life, and for Mary Baker Eddy, who founded the Christian Science movement.
Fifteen years ago I was taken to the hospital in a critical condition. Violent hemorrhages had developed which the doctors declared they could not stop. They told my mother and husband I was dying.
None of us were students of Christian Science, but my mother had heard of this healing religion when I was a child. As she sat in the waiting room and prayed, Christian Science came to mind, and she called a practitioner. The practitioner came to the hospital to see me. I remember her standing by my bed and saying calmly and firmly, "Man is spiritual, and God is Life." I did not understand, but I was receptive to the truth. In two weeks I was my normal, active self. The doctor told me it was only by the grace of God that I was alive.
