I have had many proofs of the healing power of Christian Science. The guidance and protection that the study of this Science has given me over the years are invaluable. In gratitude to God for His loving-kindness I write of some experiences of Christian Science healing.
One day neighbors came dashing into our house and said that the wooded section next to our house was on fire and that a high wind was in our direction. I immediately turned to God for help. While we awaited the volunteer firemen, a crowd gathered. Someone said, "You had better get your valuables out of the house right away." To myself I thought, "Christian Science and my spiritual understanding of it are my valuables, and I know these are safe." I realized that I could not do proper prayerful work without some privacy; so I telephoned a Christian Science friend for support. Then I went out of doors, and my young son and I walked away from the crowd to a place where we could be quiet and talk about God and His protecting power. A woman walked over to us and said to me, "You know, you amaze me."
I asked, "Why?"
