During the many years since I first heard of Christian Science I have been continuously grateful for the guidance, supply, health, and well-being that I have experienced through the study and application of this great truth.
I wish to relate my recovery from a difficulty which occurred one time in the middle of the night. I had retired feeling as well as usual, and immediately after doing my accustomed prayerful work, I went to sleep.
Around midnight I awakened and tried to arise but was able only to raise my head from the pillow, and even that action produced such a distressing feeling in my head that I immediately lay quiet and turned to God for help. In that week's Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly was this reference (Ezek. 11:18): "They shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof."
