From the June 1957 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I wish to express my gratitude for all the good that has come to me through the ministrations of Christian Science. My mother was healed of tuberculosis through reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. My sister and I were born after this healing took place, and my mother lived a healthy and vigorous life, raising her family according to the teachings of Christian Science.

I am very grateful for the help Christian Science afforded me in the raising of my two sons. While they were quite young, it became necessary for me to support myself and them. I clung steadfastly to the teachings of our religion, devoting every spare moment to realizing the truth as I had been taught to do. Step by step debts were dissolved, and I found my place in the business world again, after having been out of it for fifteen years.

Shortly after I became employed by a large corporation in the eastern part of the United States, its officers announced they were moving to the Midwest and expressed the hope that I would go with them. I did, and while in their employ I gained much valuable experience and progressed until I was in the top secretarial position. I held continually to the truth that God is my intelligence and that I could do what was correct under every circumstance.
