It is with great joy that I can testify to the healing power of Christian Science. Twenty-six years ago I witnessed the healing of an aunt who had been given but a few months to live because of a so-called incurable blood condition. That aunt is today a grateful, active Christian Scientist.
Our family was greatly benefited by Christian Science during the depression years, and my mother was healed of a stomach disorder of long standing. Seeing the practicability of this religion, I began its study and attended church services. Soon I found that I too was being blessed. Since that time I have experienced numerous healings, and I have been benefited in every avenue of my human experience. And now, in partial payment of my great debt to Christian Science, I wish to share some of those blessings.
As the time approached for the birth of our son, definite signs of arrival were apparent on a Tuesday. However, a period of four days elapsed before the delivery took place. For two of those days the doctor was unable to detect any sign that the babe was alive and so advised the Christian Science practitioner who was helping me. I thank God for the consecration of the practitioner and the Christian Science nurse who assisted me and also for the fact that the doctor and my husband, who is not a student of Christian Science, stood aside and allowed Christian Science to bring about harmony.
