Testimonies of Healing

One of the definitions of "grateful,"...

From the December 1958 issue of The Christian Science Journal

One of the definitions of "grateful," found in a dictionary, is "appreciative of benefits received." When I stop to consider the many benefits that have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science, I know that it is time for me to express my gratitude in a written testimony.

I did not come into Christian Science for healing, but I was led to it through the privilege of serving as a soloist in a Church of Christ, Scientist. However, since becoming a student of this religion, I have had many physical healings, some through my own application of the truth and some with the help of other students and Christian Science practitioners.

Several years ago it was my privilege to have class instruction in Christian Science. The teacher stressed the importance of carefully studying the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly and of daily obedience to instructions given in the writings of our Leader, Mrs. Eddy. This careful study and obedience have indeed been sources of strength and protection to me in my work.
