Spiritual Unfoldment

From the February 1958 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The universe of God is not beyond
Our present comprehension. Love's vast plan
Awaits our clearer view of that firm bond
Which binds eternal good and spiritual man.
Let harmony be lived. Let meekness span
The seeming void while faith and love restore
The patience needed. Let undimmed vision scan
A God-created realm—unseen before.
Obedience to Truth joins men to God;
But if the heart has need of more endurance
When following the way the Master trod,
Love will provide a sign for our assurance
Of present care. As truths unfold we cling
To them, and lo! we hear the angels sing.
