After being out of the business world for about ten years, I found it necessary to return to work. I regretted having to be away from my children and my home, and I feared that I could not competently fill a position after being absent from the business world. Therefore I telephoned a Christian Science practitioner, and she agreed to do prayerful work for me. She reminded me that God is the true Parent, the Father-Mother of all His children.
I found a dictionary meaning of "home" to be "one's dwelling place," and I realized that man's true dwelling place is in Spirit, not in a material house. Then I began to express gratitude for finding competent help to stay with my children and gratitude for divine Mind, which would make it possible for me to remember and again use my business training.
Also, my attention was called to the Bible passage (Prov. 3:5, 6): "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Dwelling on these thoughts made me happy. I applied for a position and was accepted.
