It is with great joy that I express my gratitude for Christian Science. I have known no other means of healing, and many have been the blessings I have received. Particularly in recent years I have been grateful for the help that an understanding of Christian Science gives us in rearing our children.
One instance of the operation of God's law will always stand out strongly to me. Over a period of about a year some unlovely character traits manifested themselves in our first son. One day in desperation I resolved to devote a portion of each day to specific prayer for this child and to strive to see nothing in him but his true and lovely self.
In following this resolve, I felt such a release in my own thinking that I did not even notice when the healing came. But a few weeks later I glanced out of the window to see the child bubbling with joy, playing happily, and making himself helpful to the neighbors; whereas before there had been quarrelsomeness, anger, and a great unwillingness on his part to be pleasant.
