Joyfully I should like to bear witness to the truth of the statement (Hebr. 4:12), "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword."
Early one morning I was awakened with all the distress that is said to accompany dysentery. My husband worked prayerfully for me until it was time for him to leave for business, but the condition did not yield. As the day progressed, I grew steadily worse. However, I clung steadfastly to the ever-presence of God and to the fact that man is His perfect reflection.
Late in the afternoon, I requested help from a practitioner. When my husband returned home in the evening, the condition was extreme, and he helped me to the telephone to call the practitioner again. The practitioner gave me several references to study in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. My husband read and reread these passages to me until a great sense of peace came over me, and I dropped off to sleep.
