I should like to tell of three healings that have come to our family during the last few years, with the hope that they will help others. Not long ago, our younger son had a serious accident while he was staying with his elder brother in the country. We were living in a large city nearby, and my elder son called me by telephone to tell me of the accident. He stated that the doctors, because they feared an internal hemorrhage, would not allow the boy to be moved from the hall where he had been taken.
Whilst listening to all this, I immediately declared the truth, realizing the allness of God, Life, and the perfection of man as God's reflection. I knew that God's presence is all there is here and everywhere. I was supported by the prayerful work of a Christian Science practitioner, who said that he would help me to realize more clearly the perfection of God and His perfect idea and that there was really nothing else.
I went as quickly as possible to our elder son's house, and all the way on the train I declared the truth, allowing nothing to disturb my thought. When I arrived and saw the younger son lying on a mattress in the hall, I silently thanked God that He is All and that His love is ever present. The doctor called in a specialist, but I sat on the floor beside the boy and declared that nothing was going on but good.
