SOUL'S CONTROL OVER CHURCH AFFAIRS

From the October 1960 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Soul, God, is supreme in earth as in heaven, Christian Science affirms. That the power of Soul is not always evidenced in human affairs does not mean that Soul is absent or incapable of controlling our lives in the minutest details. It means that we have failed to utilize the infinite power which God supplies impartially and universally throughout His infinite creation.

Soul is the source of all harmony, of peace, and joy. Soul is the source of all true wisdom and intelligence. It is the creator of every quality and idea which is included in one's true individuality. It furnishes one with a sense of orderliness, of selflessness, of love.

There is no disagreement in Soul. Soul is always right. It cannot possibly include that which is wrong or evil. There are no mistakes in Soul. Soul knows itself—its own activity—and to the degree that we associate ourselves with Soul's harmonious activity, we carry on our human transactions in a harmonious manner, in a manner which blesses ourselves and others.
