Many blessings have come to me through the application of the teachings of Christian Science. A joyous, successful marriage has been one of these blessings. In the five years we have been together, there have been some real testing times for my husband and me, and God has truly supported and sustained us all the way.
Two years ago, when visiting in the home of friends, we heard our three-year-old girl scream. She had been running with a dog leash in her hand. Somehow the leash had become caught and had thrown her down on a slate floor.
Our friends, who did not know we were Christian Scientists, seeing that she had been cut by the fall, urged us to rush her to a nearby hospital so that stitches could be taken. We thanked them, and my husband quietly telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner. Then we got into our car and drove away.
