In this fast-moving world, chance and change claim to be uncontrollable factors in the lives of men. But Christian Science teaches that man, the reflection of God, is governed by Him, and the Bible records His message in Malachi (3:6), "I am the Lord, I change not."
In "Unity of Good," Mrs. Eddy quotes this verse from a hymn:
"Chance and change are busy ever,
Man decays and ages move;
But His mercy waneth never,—
God is wisdom, God is love."
