So numerous have been the physical...

From the February 1960 issue of The Christian Science Journal

So numerous have been the physical healings I have had in Christian Science and so extensive the many other blessings that it would be impossible to tell of them in a reasonable number of words. However, in gratitude to God I should like to tell of some of them and also to say that the greatest blessing of all has been this: that I have found, through Christian Science, God's continuing guidance, day by day, in my life.

Before I was out of my teens I had been healed of three conditions termed incurable by medical doctors. The first was a fungus infection of the feet, which had at times made it necessary for me to use crutches. I began to work daily for myself, as we are taught to do in Christian Science, and when I became old enough, I was accepted as a member of The Mother Church. Various practitioners and a loving member of my family helped me from time to time, and although it was necessary to work prayerfully and consistently over a period of about five years, a complete healing was obtained.

While still in high school, I was asked to take a physical examination in connection with an insurance policy. When the examination was made, I was told of an internal disorder. In the following weeks I prayed much, and a great conviction of the indestructible spiritual nature of the man of God's creating came to me. The condition completely disappeared and has never returned.
