Christian Science came to our family at a time of great business and financial stress during the early years of the Second World War. My husband was endeavoring to establish himself in his profession, but was finding it difficult to do so.
A dear one who was a student of Christian Science and with whom we corresponded regularly recommended that we find a Christian Science practitioner and avail ourselves of God's help in working out these problems.
The practitioner whom we consulted said almost nothing about our current need, but, rather, spoke of God and of His goodness and His nearness to His children. He requested that we read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and attend a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. He said that we could call upon him for further assistance if necessary.
