GLORIFYING BUSINESS

From the June 1960 issue of The Christian Science Journal

THE question is frequently raised, Can Christian Science be applied to business? The answer is emphatically Yes! Christian Science, when rightly applied, brings into human affairs the limitless resources of God, establishing among men the affluence of good. It heals lack and poverty as surely as it heals disease and sin.

Real business, according to Christian Science, may be defined as the permanent activity of God and His ideas. Man, being inseparable from God as His likeness, manifests His ideas. Man's business, then, is to reflect God's ideas. God knows what is true of His own likeness, and man knows what is true of himself as the expression of God, the doer of all good. Within man is the consciousness of his own infinite capacities as the expression of Mind.

Man is conscious at all times of his unbroken unity with his Father-Mother God. The individual who knows himself as he is in reality—at one with God—and who expresses spirituality and integrity receives satisfying affluence, the needed intelligence for each circumstance under which he may be placed, and an unfolding knowledge of God's laws.
