From the June 1960 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The Board of Trustees of The Christian Science Publishing Society has announced the election of Mrs. Frances S. Wells, C. S. B., of San Antonio, Texas, as a member of that Board. Mrs. Wells succeeds Miss Helen Appleton, C. S., of Boston, Massachusetts, who passed on February 15.

The election, which has the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors, was held in accordance with Article XXV, Section 3, of the Manual of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.

A native of Brookline, Massachusetts, Mrs. Wells attended The Mother Church Sunday School in Boston until she was twenty and then attended The Mother Church until she moved to San Antonio. She has been active there in the practice of Christian Science since 1949 and is a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, in that city.
