It is my hope that I may impart to others through this testimony the sense of joyousness and peace that is mine as the result of studying Christian Science.
My interest in Science began when I was enrolled in the Christian Science Sunday School. During the next thirteen years loving and consecrated teachers helped me to gain a workable understanding of the truth of being as revealed by Mrs. Eddy. While I was a student in the Sunday School, I experienced many healings, some of which were those of colds, an influenzal attack affecting my abdomen, and a recurring pain in my side.
As I gained a deeper understanding of the preventive power of the Christ, Truth, I was often able to take an immediate stand against incipient sickness and thus prevent its development. My absences from school decreased, and during my four years in college I missed only two hours of class because of illness.
