I have been a student of Christian Science since I was a child and have not only experienced but witnessed many healings brought about by the application of this religion. When eight years old I jumped off a chair on which I had been standing and fell, hitting the floor with my chin. My four front lower teeth were pushed back flat into my mouth. This happened in the evening, and since we lived thirty-five miles from town, my mother decided to wait till the next morning before taking me to a dentist to have the teeth removed.
Before going to the dentist, my mother called on a Christian Science practitioner and told her what had happened. The practitioner assured her that God would help both of us, and He did, because the teeth were not pulled. The dentist said the jawbone was broken and would have to heal before the teeth could be removed.
My mother returned to the practitioner, who said she would help us through prayerful metaphysical work. The following morning I ate breakfast using those four teeth. They had straightened up and were in their correct position. My jawbone also was normal. I had had a complete healing, and I still have those teeth. I have not been to a dentist again, except to have my teeth cleaned, in the thirty years since that time. My teeth and gums are sound.
