Christian Science has changed my whole way of life. I turned to it when I was in my last year of training as a medical nurse. My sister was a Christian Scientist, and I went to church with her frequently, not understanding anything of what I heard, but feeling a sense of peace there and loving to watch the happy faces of the people.
One night my sister asked me to go to a lecture on Christian Science. I went reluctantly, having nothing else to do, but after what I heard that evening I knew I wanted Science.
Being nearly ready to graduate, I found the decision to accept Science a difficult one to make. My sister and I talked until two o'clock in the morning, and I spent the rest of the night struggling; but Truth won, and I decided to take up the study of Science with my whole heart. I wanted to quit my medical training, but I decided to finish the course since I was so nearly through it. After graduating I was led out of medical nursing; this was about a year later. At first I took any kind of work I could find, including work as a waitress in a cafe. After a few years I was led into Christian Science nursing.
