ANNUAL MEETING OF THE MOTHER CHURCH

The Annual Meeting of The Mother Church on June 3 brought together members from many parts of the world. They listened with much gratitude to the reports which were prepared for the occasion—reports of spiritual progress and healing. Gratitude for the lifework of their Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, fulfilled under divine direction, was active in the hearts of her loyal followers. Their presence at the meeting reminded them that The Mother Church and its branches are beacons in a troubled world. These beacons, pointing as they do to the sustaining power of divine Principle, Love, are potent guardians of the freedom to know God aright and the liberty that this knowing brings to receptive hearts.

A detailed account of the reports given at the meeting follows.

The meeting opened with the singing from the Christian Science Hymnal of Hymn No. 208, the words of which are by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. The retiring President, , then read passages from the Bible and the writings of Mrs. Eddy:
