Truth is attractive. It needs only to be loved sincerely and presented confidently to make its appeal. Peter recognized the importance of being convinced of Truth's power when he reminded the early Christians that "we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty" (II Pet. 1:16).
Being an eyewitness to the power of Truth to heal and regenerate, together with a warm desire to share one's experience and knowledge with others, is a necessary requisite for a Christian Science Sunday School teacher. Without this combination, one's teaching is empty, without warmth or vitality.
Facts, as taught in public schools, are given emphasis and credibility by some sort of proof or verification by an authorized source. Spiritual facts presented in a Christian Science Sunday School are authenticated by the truths found in the Bible and in the writings of Mrs. Eddy. Frequently, experiences of the teachers, told with humility and sincerity, bring out the practicality of Christian Science. Occasionally a pupil may cite a proof he himself has had.
