As a theological student I found I was unable to obtain satisfactory answers to my many questions relating to God; also I was unable to accept the advice of the well-meaning faculty that it was wrong to question certain religious beliefs. Deeply troubled and filled with doubts about God Himself, it was at this hour of great need that I was introduced to Christian Science.
To take a stand for Science in such surroundings was not easy, and much religious intolerance was experienced. Never have I regretted my stand, however, for all my questions have been logically answered and my understanding and love of God corrected and enlarged.
On presenting me with my own copy of the textbook by Mrs. Eddy, the friend who introduced me to Science inscribed on the inside cover, "This above all."
