Testimonies of Healing

I am more grateful than I can say that...

From the February 1964 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I am more grateful than I can say that I had the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School, although I did not then appreciate its teachings fully. I especially loved Mrs. Eddy's poem "The Mother's Evening Prayer" (Poems, p. 4). The first stanza reads,

O gentle presence, peace and joy and power;
O Life divine, that owns each waiting hour,
Thou Love that guards the nestling's faltering
flight!
Keep Thou my child on upward wing tonight.

The line, "Keep Thou my child on upward wing tonight," stood out to me and seemed to have a special meaning. Indeed it did.
