WHEN Mrs. Eddy gave to the world the revelation that God is the Mind of man and the universe and that this Mind is supreme over matter, a tremendous force of enlightened understanding was liberated into world thought. Its impact has made itself felt throughout the entire range of human living—the sciences, religion, medicine, government, and economics.
Christian Science teaches that since all life has its origin in Mind, all causation is mental and that the Science of mental causation, its applications and its effects upon the thoughts and actions of men, holds the destiny of mankind in its grasp.
Mrs. Eddy went beyond human philosophy and revealed the Science of Mind, or Christian Science. In her writings she sets forth both the absolute basis and the practice of Mind-science. She also exposes the erroneous basis of mortal mind operations so that humanity may know how to distinguish between the true and the false methods of mental power. This distinction enables men to offset the misconceptions which claim to be able to exert despotic mental influences upon individuals and masses.
