When Jesus prayed, his prayers included all.
"Neither pray I for these alone," he said;
his love was universal, not a small
measure for a chosen few. He saw the bread
of truth not limited, not rationed fare,
but adequate to feed a multitude.
Where spiritual hunger was, right there
was Love's supply of spiritual food.
Thus we can pray, to benefit mankind,
embracing dear companion, friend, and foe.
God has no outcasts, lost or left behind;
no least idea that He does not know
as His own image, innocent and pure,
forever loved, forever held secure.
