Those who have an ardent love for and desire to practice Christian Science have a great opportunity today to arouse and awaken receptive human beings to the healing touch of the Christ, Truth. A beautiful hymn in the Christian Science Hymnal calls thus to those who are striving to be Christianly scientific healers:
The cause requires unswerving might:
With God alone agree.
Then have no other aim than right;
End bondage, O be free.
Depart from sin, awake to love:
Your mission is to heal. Hymn No. 5;
Our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, indicates in the Manual of The Mother Church the importance of healing. She says, "Healing the sick and the sinner with Truth demonstrates what we affirm of Christian Science, and nothing can substitute this demonstration."Man., Art. XXX, Sect. 7; She continues, "I recommend that each member of this Church shall strive to demonstrate by his or her practice, that Christian Science heals the sick quickly and wholly, thus proving this Science to be all that we claim for it."
