CHRISTMAS

From the December 1967 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Christmas, let me somehow reach you,
Find the peace for which you stand.
Know the secret self-surrender,
Far apart from worldly splendor.
Safe within Mind's holy land.

Let me hear your healing message,
Feel the love that makes men whole.
Let me know your childlike sweetness,
Your all-encompassing completeness,
Holding us in bonds of Soul.

Christmas, let me come before you
Meek and humble as a child,
Hear the holy angels singing
Of the gift God's love is bringing:
Christ, the Saviour, undefiled.
