I wish to express gratitude for Christ Jesus, for Christian Science, and for our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who gave us this wonderful truth. Many years ago Christian Science was presented to my married sister, who was in great need of healing. She accepted it wholeheartedly, and through treatment given by a practitioner she was healed of extreme nervousness and other discords.
About that time our mother was suffering from gallstones. A physician was attending her, but she was not improving. My sister asked her if she would accept Christian Science treatment. She agreed to, so the doctor was dismissed and a practitioner was asked to help her. She had a very quick healing. Naturally, we were all grateful, and all the members of her large family began to study the Lesson-Sermons and to attend a Christian Science church.
I married soon after and experienced a healing of a severe skin trouble. Through the enlightenment gained from persistent study of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, the healing came. It was not a quick healing because there was much fear and depression to be overcome, but as more understanding was gained, the difficulty seemed less fearful and finally disappeared altogether.
