Places of Historical Interest Maintained by Longyear Foundation

Longyear Foundation maintains the Mary Baker Eddy Museum at 120 Seaver Street, Brookline, Massachusetts, exhibiting books, manuscripts, portraits, and other items bearing on the life and achievements of Mary Baker Eddy. It is open to visitors Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.

The Foundation also maintains the following homes where Mrs. Eddy lived:
1855-1860—North Groton, New Hampshire. Also North Groton
Congregational Church, where Mrs. Eddy led the congregation in
prayer. Open daily except Mondays, May 30 through October 31.

1860-1862—Rumney, New Hampshire, Stinson Lake Road (oppo
site old schoolhouse building) . It is here that Mrs. Eddy received one
of her early proofs of spiritual healing. Open on weekdays, except
Mondays, May 30 through October 31, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Open Sundays 2 to 5 p.m.
1865-1866—Swampscott, Massachusetts, 23 Paradise Road. Mrs.
Eddy was living here when she was healed in 1866. Open weekdays
from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; special hours on Sunday, June 1, from 2
to 6 p.m. During the months of December, January, and February,
the hours are from 10 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. During the summer months,
the house is open on Sundays from 2 to 5 p.m., the same hours as 12
Broad Street, Lynn.

1868-1870—Amesbury, Massachusetts, 277 Main Street. The home
of Miss Sarah Bagley, where Mrs. Eddy stayed for part of these
years while studying the Scriptures and writing an early version of
"The Science of Man." Open daily except Mondays, May 1 to
October 31, from 2 to 5 p.m.
1868-1870—Stoughton, Massachusetts, 133 Central Street. The
home of Mrs. Sally Wentworth, with whom Mrs. Eddy boarded after
her stay with the Hiram Crafts family. Open daily except Mondays,
May 1 to October 31, from 2 to 5 p.m.
